Carolyn's Story
Becoming a parent changed everything - in ways I didn’t fully realize at the time.
I had dreamed of being a mum around 28, but life (and five years of IVF later) had other plans. Cue me, aged 40, finally holding my little boy in my arms. Eek! The joy was immense - and let’s be honest, he’s the biggest blessing since sliced bread.
As a single mum, I quickly learned that looking after my own health wasn’t just about me. It was about being present, energetic, and emotionally available for him. I wanted to show up as the mum I’d always imagined, but the reality? Soul-sapping, exhausting, and full of early morning tears (mostly mine).
On top of that, I was trapped in a career that was slowly draining the life out of me. The creative, curious, energetic version of me was disappearing behind endless to-do lists and the “first-in, last-out” routine of before-and-after care drop-offs. Running on empty became my new normal.
I soon realized I wasn’t alone. So many parents I met were juggling the same impossible balancing act - work, family, health - all while feeling like they were failing somewhere. And let’s face it, a little humour helps when life throws curveballs, right?
That awareness sparked a shift. I started exploring holistic health, natural tools, and simple wellness practices. Not as a rigid program, but as practical ways to reclaim energy, clarity, and balance - and maybe sneak in a laugh along the way.
Now, as an older mum, I’m passionate about helping ALL parents. New mums, older mums, and even dads. Guiding them to discover how to care for themselves deeply, without pressure or perfection. My mission is to show that simple, intentional steps can restore energy, confidence, and joy, so you can be fully present for your loved ones and fully present for yourself.
Because life is hard enough - caring for yourself shouldn’t be.
