A mad teapotter!

A Whimsical Love Affair with Tea: My Collection Dilemma

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m an unapologetic tea enthusiast. My mornings are a symphony of kettle whistles and fragrant brews. As I sip my Chai Vanilla tea or any of my abundant supply of herbals, I can’t help but admire my whimsical teapot collection—a delightful assortment of pots that could easily make a cameo in a fairy tale. Seriously, I half-expect them to start singing “A Whole New World” any day now.

Now, you might think a cluttered collection of quirky teapots would conflict with my low tox living philosophy and decluttering obsession. And you’d be right! But these little beauties are my Achilles' heel. I mean, who could part with a teapot covered in Roses that any gardener would love to smell? That’s practically a conversation starter at any gathering—or an excellent excuse to stay home alone, sipping tea and talking to my doggo while at it. My besties love it too when I bring out the fancy schmancy teacups and teapots. Oh la la!

While my teapots hold a special place in my heart, I’ve made strides in low tox living elsewhere in my home. My cleaning routine has taken a dramatic turn, thanks to doTERRA’s fabulous cleaning range. Gone are the days of harsh chemicals that could strip paint off walls—or, you know, harm my precious respiratory system. Now, I’m armed with a powerful arsenal of natural cleaners that smell delightful and are effective.

Let’s talk about my secret weapon: OnGuard. This little powerhouse is like a bodyguard for my home, warding off germs while smelling like a cozy autumn afternoon. It’s my go-to for cleaning everything from countertops to the occasional teapot that may have gathered dust (I swear they don’t hold a grudge).

And speaking of fresh scents, citrus oils are my happy place. A few drops of lemon or orange in my cleaning routine? Boom! Instant sunshine. I’m pretty sure my house now smells like a citrus orchard, and I’m just waiting for a squirrel to drop by for tea (or maybe that’s just my imagination running wild again).

Eucalyptus and tea tree oils are my partners in crime for keeping things fresh and free of yuckiness. Just a few drops mixed with water in a spray bottle, and I can transform any surface into a low tox paradise. It’s practically magic—like a cleaning fairy has come to do my bidding (if only she’d also wash my dishes).

But alas, no amount of eco-friendly cleaning can persuade me to part with my beloved teapot collection. They bring me joy, a sprinkle of whimsy, and, most importantly, the perfect vessel for my daily tea rituals. So while I declutter the rest of my life, the teapots shall remain, basking in their quirky glory.

Fair to say, I may be a low tox warrior armed with natural cleaning solutions, but when it comes to my teapots, I’m a sentimental hoarder. And you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Cheers to tea, laughter, and the delightful chaos of life! 🍵✨
